Back into Running

Recently I've gotten back into running. Using mapmyrun.com I plotted a two lap 3.2 mile loop and for the past three weeks have ran that loop, with a strong emphasis on how my mile time would turn out. I would run the first lab relatively easy, at a 7 minute mile or slower then run the second lap strictly for time to see The first run I did was quite tough to get through and left me very sore the next four days.

The second run was a bit better, my endurance wasn't as bad and I clocked in a 6:24 mile time. I was a bit disappointed though as I faded coming into the home stretch

Today though on the second mile I ran a time of 5:31, which is significantly faster and I felt really good. Still need to work on pacing though but my endurance has certainly improved from where it previously was as the start of all these runs.

starting next month I plan to move into two weekly runs.
